The visible power of water is, in itself, life-giving. The vastness of the ocean, the stillness of a pond, the flow of a stream, lake, the meandering of a river or the waterfall’s cascading energy. Water symbolizes the physical world. It’s timeless as this energy speaks to your spirit, the inner yearning to simply be. The down side of water is when excessive rainfall creates flash-flooding and torrential downpours flood the streets in a massive deluge. Or hurricanes pound the shoreline wreaking havoc for miles. When rushing waters race through the canyons or a tsunami swallows up entire villages, this is the darker side of water’s fury. Peaceful waters speak of floating, flowing, and being carefree. The stillness of a pond articulates the long-term benefits of being quiet. A lake’s mirror-like reflection is reminiscent of serenity. The stream’s rambling waters carry one forward into places of deep tranquility. The waterfall magically cascades into the deepest part of our being, transporting us into the heart of beauty. We are connected to this flow. The dance of Wind and Water commenced at the beginning of creation. It is circuitous. As the wind spins the water and in turn, the water creates flow, energy moves, preventing our global environment from experiencing complete stagnation. Any time there are extreme changes in the environment, there is also an opportunity to create renewal in your awareness or your perception. Water renews and Wind rejuvenates. The integrity of Wind and Water are energetically vital. Find harmony within and between these two energies as they are made whole, we experience balance. Although we are reminded to respect these energies, the opportunity is to avoid being caught up in their fleeting dramas… staying centered. Water is symbolic of remarkable internal resources capable of refreshing your spirit. The graceful flow of water represents the mystery of life. It releases emotions and embodies the natural order of the cosmos. In many cultures water is considered the Source of all life. It can be the stormy floodwaters or the calm of a reflective pool. Water is presented in streams, lakes, rivers, and oceans. Of course, the water that courses throughout our body is a major influence on our life path. To remain in healthy, it is essential to drink water daily to re-hydrate your body. When water effortlessly flows, it unconditionally provides clarity and pure life’s real meaning. Water is the most yielding of all of the energies, reminding us to be flexible. However, murky water represents being indecisive and vague. Water has two forms: moving (yang) and still (yin). Moving water creates the energy pattern of attracting abundance, career excellence and the flow of financial increase into your life. You have heard that still waters run deep. This watery pattern is about going within. It represents germination and gestation… birthing new paths. Water/womb is associated with birthing. It represents the transformation and rejuvenation of life itself. Water represents wisdom, bravery to venture into uncharted oceans, willful, independent, dreamy, intuitive, unconventional, truth seeking, sensual, exotic, wintertime and nighttime. It is the return of the stillness where this last cycle in the circle of energies bathes and then renews itself. The body parts are the ear, where we must listen to our inner truth, the kidney and bladder where trust, fear, and courage all reside… which shall we summon? The aspiration is destiny, motivation, career and the journey of life itself. Living our life purposefully allows water’s stream of consciousness to lend lucidity to the other four elements of wood, fire, earth and metal. Water seeks new paths through the mountain, extinguishes fire, reduces metal, and nurtures wood. The presence of excessive water by way of colors and symbolism creates a mood of being wishy-washy and disorganized. Too little water promotes passivity. In balance, the water element opens the door to cosmic attunement where we feel at one with Source, relaxed and refreshed. The bathroom is a prime water room. To keep your finances flowing, be sure to plug up the bath and sink drain, when not I in use, as water energy moves downward. Since water is associated with abundance, avoid water’s financial leakage. Create a spa like atmosphere by adding greenery in the bathroom where you can directly benefit from this room’s energy of renewal. Enjoy thick and thirsty towels placed on a towel warmer, waterproof pillows for the bath, lovely artwork, aromatic candles, basins of scented soaps, a dimmer on your light switch and a CD player to pipe in soothing music. My bath time is also my meditation time. My mind/body/spirit is thoroughly prospered here. The unblocked flow of Water in your life is unswervingly associated with the stream of money in your life and your career success. Improve the water energy by adding a water fountain, mirrors, actual crystal and items made from crystal or glass art featuring water and/or an aquarium. Objects in the color of black, navy, maroon, or very deep brown certainly anchor water’s energetic values. Curvilinear lines move freely to create the geometric shape of water. Shapes of paisley designs, curves or rounded lines emulate water’s flowing essence. Copyright © 2010 James Lewis Hathcock & Sharyn Jordan Hathcock All Rights Reserved |
